Nichole’s Life in room 12!

Today we went swimming again! But I forgot my swimsuit, so I had to wait on the bench:(. But I have to admit, watching my friends was fun:).So if you are absent the day before swimming, or a fun activity, always write it down!

May 26-27 we will go to Mackinac Island!!! We will have a field trip there to learn more about Michigan…. yes Michigan! there is also great fudge there to . Yummmmm… chocolate. If you would like to go there ,come to Holmes School in Spring Lake Michigan. You must be in 4 grade or younger to come…enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have been exploring websites for kids. There are many websites out on the internet that kids learn, explore, connect with other kids, and play!

My choice is a website that has free fun learning math games, and has pages that tells you how to help save the world in your local home!!

I like it because it tells you some interesting facts about the 65 million years ago dinosaurs! Now isn’t that cool!

We have been working on book talks for our Holmes Book Fair.
I read a book called Dog Heroes by Karl Meyer.
It is non-fiction and is about Dogs that save people from any harm to keep people safe.

I have a book that I can read independently. I want to share some information with you about my book.
The title of my book is:Michigan Chillers # 7 Kreepy Klowns of Kalamazoo.
It is written by Jonathan Rand.
this story is about a girl named Kayliegh and the carnival is in town on her birthday.Something is very wrong with the clowns.
It takes place in the city of Kalamazoo,Michigan.
One of my favorite characters is Kayliegh because she was very curious about the clowns.
i would recommend this book because it would be a very good scary story for camping.

On the 28 of August a very famous speech was spoken. It was called the ”I Have A Dream.” It was on the year of 1963. This speech was by Martin Luther King Jr. It was based on slavery. On 1968 Martin was shot. But when he was 15 he graduated from high school. We did our own speech to change the world and if you click below you can hear my speech, and thanks for listening!

The girl in the picture is one of my friends. She is one our students in my class. We were having a blast at the Aquatic Center! That is at the Spring Lake High School. She was on the ”lilly pads.” If you ever go there the lilly pads are very wiggly. So keep your balance!

At recess time we have a program called Peace Frogs.They are scheduled on certain times of school hours.If you get aggressive, the Peace Frogs will come and find you to solve your problems.It could probably take 5 minutes.But at the end you must agree if the problem is solved.They have to wear red hats and bright colored clip boards.They also might have bright colored vests on them.Their starting line is:”Do you have a conflict?”
